Far Cry New Dawn Announcement

Ubisoft hat im Rahmen der The Game Awards 2018 den neuesten Teil der Far Cry Reihe angekündigt. Far Cry New Dawn wird am 15.02.2019 erscheinen und entführt die Spieler in eine post-apokalyptische Welt. Das Spiel erscheint für PlayStation 4, die Xbox One-Gerätefamilie inklusive Xbox One X sowie PC und kann ab sofort vorbestellt werden.

Siebzehn Jahre nach einer globalen Atomkatastrophe führt Far Cry New Dawn die Spieler in einen wildes und schönes, aber auch radikal verändertes Hope County, Montana. Es knüpft also an das Ende von Far Cry 5 an. "[...]the remaining populace has gathered into different groups, each with their own rules for survival. In this new world order, the vicious Highwaymen, led by twin sisters Mickey and Lou, travel from place to place bleeding people dry of all available resources. As the Survivors try to defend their lands against the Highwaymen’s relentless onslaught, it’s up to you to come to their aid and lead the fight."

In der Basis bereiten sich die Spieler darauf vor, der Bedrohung, in Form der Highwaymen, entgegenzutreten. Die Basis, genannt Prosperity, ist die Festung der Überlebenden. Hier können Spieler provisorische Waffen und Fahrzeuge herstellen und ihre Helfer und Vierbeiner trainieren – einschließlich neuer und vertrauter Gesichter. Aber das Wichtigste ist, dass unser Hund SEINEN KOPF AUF DEM FAHRENDEN AUTO HÄLT!

Während die Spieler voranschreiten, können sie die Basis für mächtigere Waffen und Ausrüstung ausbauen. Die Basis ist auch der Startpunkt für Expeditionen, denn zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte von Far Cry findet die Handlung nicht nur an einem Ort statt. Expeditionen führen die Spieler zu einzigartigen und denkwürdigen Orten in den USA, einschließlich Sumpfgebieten, Canyons und mehr, an denen sie wertvolle Ressourcen sammeln und schnell wieder entkommen müssen.

  • Engage the Highwaymen in Turf Wars by clearing their outposts and then scavenging them for Ethanol and other materials. When the Highwaymen return with stronger reinforcements, you can take on a greater challenge for even more of these valuable resources.
  • For the first time in Far Cry, the adventure is not just local. Venture outside of Hope County on thrilling Expeditions to unique and memorable locations across the USA including wetlands, canyons, and coastal regions.
  • Expeditions and Outposts are different every playthrough, for rewarding missions that increase in challenge and are surprising every time."

Entwickelt von Ubisoft Montreal mit Unterstützung von Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Kiew und Ubisoft Bukarest, ist Far Cry New Dawn ein First-Person-Shooter in einer neuen Open-World. Die eigenständige Fortsetzung von Far Cry 5, Far Cry New Dawn, versetzt die Spieler in eine postapokalyptische Welt, in der sie einer doppelten Bedrohung begegnen werden – den Zwillingen Mickey und Lou. Im Trailer hatte ich persönlichen einen kleinen Negan-Vibe. Die Exekution vor der Base hatte doch einen kleinen "Negan-Walking-Dead-Hauch". Spieler haben eine große Auswahl an Helfern und Vierbeinern als Begleiter, können aber auch einen Freund für Co-Op-Spiele rekrutieren.
